You are 100% right about stepping into actual, in person community! This is where we have agency while everything is on fire. And I hear you on Facebook. I don't use it personally anymore, except for donating things on our city Everything is Free page!

The Everything is Free pages are the best! I miss ours so much already. BUT we decided we can just have a yearly yard sale as the alternative. For two people who don't like extra stuff around, this'll be an adjustment, but hey, maybe it'll be a fun one. And the yard "sale" will be mostly free too of course. Just happy to give things we no longer need a new home.
